Experience an intimate evening of live jazz in Roedde House’s Victorian parlour! We are pleased to welcome Nicholas Bracewell on drums accompanied by Noah Franche-Nolan on the piano. 

The concert will be from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m., with a 30-minute intermission during which tea and cookies will be available.

$20 for Seniors/RHM Members/Students

$23 for General Admission

Artist Bios

Nicholas Bracewell is a Drummer, Composer, and Educator based out of Vancouver, British Columbia.

He has played and recorded with artists such as Rodney Whitaker, Randy Napolean, Raagaverse, Jodi Proznick, The Shuffle Demons, Laila Biali, XL the Band (Swollen Members),James Danderfer, Ashely Wey, Gabriel Mark Hasselbach, Corey Kendrick, Diego Rivera, Rick Roe, Micheal Dease, Etienne Charles and Perry Hughes.

Nicholas was exposed to a diverse range of musical influences from an early age, which fueled his passion for music. He pursued formal training in music and had the privilege of studying under Randy "Uncle G" Gelispie at Michigan State University. Since relocating to Vancouver, he has established himself as a prominent figure in the city's music scene, showcasing his versatility by performing in various settings, from intimate jazz clubs to large concert halls.

Apart from being a skilled performer, Nicholas is also a committed educator, sharing his knowledge and experience with aspiring musicians.


Noah Franche-Nolan is a Canadian pianist, improviser, composer, and arranger based in Vancouver BC.

He leads the Noah Franche-Nolan Trio, with Juno-Nominated Jodi Proznick on bass and Nicholas Bracewell on drums. This band is releasing its debut album on the Cellar Live Record Label on Sept 15, 2023. This band also forms the rhythm section for Indo Jazz Fusion group Raagaverse, led by Shruti Ramani. In addition to being a performer and bandleader, Franche-Nolan is an active composer, having most recently composed the score to NYC film maker Talha Jalal's documentary "Rite of Passage" and the music for Vancouver-based playwright Shelby Saitterthwaite's play Light Rapid Transit. He has also recently released two electro-acoustic records on Infidels label in collaboration with Dutch composer/violist Oene van Geel and Canadian composer/guitarist Dan Pitt, titled "Portraits from the Interior World Vol I and II". 

Noah is on Faculty at the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra's School of Music in the Jazz Department and the Classical Theory and Composition Department.

Limited street parking is available on Robson and in the West End. Parking spots are scarce in the neighbourhood, so give yourself some extra time or use public transportation. (Closest Skytrain station: Burrard. We are on the #5 Robson bus route).
